Re: DKC Custom Level Ideas

Creepy Castle Archetype: Castle from DKC2 Music: Castle from DKC2 Gimmick: Lightening strikes from the outdoors make the screen go dark (Blackout Basement) I think the level would be a great challenge, and even though Toxic Tower isn't that bad, it could easily replace it and pose more of a challen...

Re: What is your least favorite world?

I shouldn't have put the Krock in there, it's only 2 levels. Anyway, I think that Screech's Sprint looked scary for me on my first go, but when I started to race, I won first try. I thought it was going to be tough especially since i'm anti-bramble.

What is your least favorite world?

I would have to go with Crocodile Cauldron. The volcano levels were a nice touch, but the other 3, ew.

Least Favorite World.

I would have to go with Mekanos. The levels were okay, but I can't find another one I don't like.

Re: favourite game of the trilogy

While they are all great games, I have to go with the third one. See, alot of people haven't played it because it came out when the N64 did, but for us fans who played the game, most of us complain about the most PICKY things possible. Kiddy isn't that bad first off. He brought back the balance of b...

Re: Stupid things you thought

For some reason, my parents always told me Winky was magical because he could kill anything. To this day I still call him "Winky the Magic Frog"... and I pronounced Enguarde's name as En-guard-AY, thinking I was all French and cool. :| And I STILL miss those old smileys, gah-dang! :x I th...

Stupid things you thought

What were some stupid things that you first thought, in any of the games, and when you experimented you either lost a kong or died? Donkey Kong Country - In "Coral Capers" I thought Enguarde can kill anything. Until I lost him. - In "Blackout Basement" I thought I knew where I wa...

Re: DKC Custom Level Ideas

Name: Crucible Castle Archetype: Fortress (a new theme based on DKC's temples) Music: Hothead March (remix of Krook's March and Hot-Head Bop ) Special Effects: Some really ominous-looking Lava flows! New Sprites: Steel Barrel Cannons, Manual and Autofire. Gimmick: The place is themed like Bowser's ...

Re: DKC Custom Level Ideas

I overdid it on the zingers but the gameplay would be outrageous. I actually like the idea. People would probably break their controllers.

Re: Floodlit Fish?

Yeah I agree tiptup it's awesome especially playing in the dark. I still think those "changes" eliminated the gameplay of the whole level and ruined it. Just another water level to breeze through.

Favorite Games (in order)

What are your favorite games of the series in order from favorite to least favorite? Mine would have to be: DKC3 > DKC2 > DKC > DK64 I really enjoyed DKC3's simplicity and you can't get sick of the gameplay because you have side quests to complete as well. It wasn't so hard that you wanted to snap y...

Re: DKC Custom Level Ideas

http://i42.tinypic.com/r02vqo.jpg Necky's Nightmare It's a boss battle with two Necky's. You have to use revolving ghost barrels that go in all 8 directions to try to hit both Necky's 3 times each, while trying to dodge their attacks and zingers who rotate in patterns that take time to memorize. It...

Re: DKC Custom Level Ideas

I have names and ideas but I will emphasize on the actual palletes and stuff later. Mummy Museum: A museum that has kremlings dressed like mummys. Some can hide as part of the background a jump out. Cactus Cave: A cave that has weird cactus-like obstacles that block your way, and you use barrels to ...

Floodlit Fish?

I play the snes version all of the time, and I really enjoy the level "Floodlit Fish". Look up videos of the GBA version. It is seriously so bright I don't think you need to even touch the fish. It's a shame, the GBA ports messed up all 3 of the games. I'm never going to touch those.. I do...

Re: What did you like best about DKC3?

I honestly don't know where to start. Once I got Lake Orangatanga out of the way I was blown away. Look at the graphics of some of the levels. Like the exit to the water stages (Buzzer Barrage is included as well as others), look at Konveyor Rope Klash, the game is so amazing when it comes to graphi...

Re: Level Summaries

After going through a couple of wooden walkways and an old mill, the Kongs trek to the colder regions of Lake Orangatanga. Here, the Kongs will be greeted by the enemies with their name featured in the title- Skiddas, the slipping purple Kobbles. The chomping Krimps also make their debut here. Ther...

DKC = Banjo Kazooie?

I am going to put some pictures up as soon as I can but I found alot of similarities in the levels of these two games. Yes they were both made by Rare so that does increase the chances, but heres what i've found: Banjo Kazooie: - Bubblegloop Swamp = Barrel Bayou and Krockhead Klamber (almost same ex...

Re: What did you like best about DKC?

I really enjoyed every aspect of the game. The boss battles (having to fight giant versions of enemies you commonly see), the map-screen, it was all just excellent.
